For more than 25 years she has worked with a wide range of organizations, from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies, engaging participants in powerful programs that produce lasting results. Jeanne-Marie is co-author of the book 101 Great Ways to Improve Your Life. She earned a BA in psychology, graduating with highest honors from California State University at Long Beach.
For more than 20 years, Marilyn Otten has been committed to workplace performance excellence through learning and development. As a key member of the Next Turn team, Marilyn has helped design and facilitate customized solutions focused on leadership, management development, customer service, sales strategies, team building and time mastery. Her focus is to use proven strategies and best practices to help clients optimize their personal and professional success. Marilyn has achieved the academic requirements for the certified human resources professional (CHRP) designation as well as a multitude of certifications in adult education, instructional design, facilitation, communications and organizational development. She is also an Wiley certified DiSC® trainer, an MBTI qualified instructor and is an active member of the Human Resources Professional Association.
A recognized authority on leadership and management practices, Bob Carpenter has traveled throughout North America, Europe and Asia for the past 20 years guiding global Fortune 500 executives to improve their company’s performance. He brings to Next Turn vast experience in the areas of executive coaching, workplace motivation, operational effectiveness and employee self-discovery. Bob’s list of success stories includes major work for clients ranging from large international companies to non-profit and local government organizations. Prior to his full-time dedication to leadership training and development, Bob held numerous sales and management positions at IBM and Digital Equipment Corporation and senior positions at several management development firms, plus he was integral in launching three start-up companies. Bob holds an MBA degree from Columbia University.
Kate Miffitt is an instructional design consultant who specializes in e-learning and web-based training. As a learning designer at The Pennsylvania State University, Kate works with subject matter experts to design and develop online courses. Kate Miffitt worked in teaching and training in different roles for the last 10 years, most recently at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories. Her areas of interest in online education include web 2.0 technologies and scenario-based learning. She holds an MA in Instructional Technologies from San Francisco State University and a BA in English from Stonehill College in Massachusetts, her native state. Kate brings a passion for teaching, keen eye for design, and systematic approach to problem-solving to her instructional design, creating powerful and effective learning experiences.
